Fundraising for the Great Brisbane Duck Race TEAM Challenge
Three easy steps to fundraising success!
1. Set a fundraising goal
We all know that writing down our goals is the best way to achieve them. Setting a clear fundraising target also helps your supporters to personally feel a part of your fundraising experience and what you achieve.
Set a Team Fundraising goal, then to achieve it, try breaking down your fundraising goal into smaller team member goals.
- A Team Fundraising Goal of $1000 from a team of ten people is $100 each, that’s two $50 donations or five $20 donations!
- $3000 from a team of ten people is $300 each, you would only need 15 of your facebook friends to donate $20 each.
- $5000 for a team of ten people is $500 each, that five $100 donations from your five best friends.
- $10,000 for a team of ten people is $1000 each, if your all from different workplaces this could easily raised over four consecutive fortnightly morning-teas or gold coin donation free dress days.
2. Set up a team fundraising page
Fundraising online is one of the fastest ways to reach your networks, and an easy way for people to make donations.
By setting up a fundraising page for your team through everyday hero, your team will have your own online space where you will be able to clearly communicate your fundraising goals, where people can make donations and leave messages of support and see what donations and messages your other supporters have left. And you’ll have all the tools you need in one place to quickly communicate to via email and social media networks.
- Registering your details at www.everydayhero.com.au/,

3. Communicate and promote your efforts
Once you’re set up, the next thing to do is promote, promote, promote.
- Make sure all your team members are utilising their online networks, email, facebook, twitter and myspace via your everyday hero page.
- Download and print one of our fantastic posters to put up around your workplace
- Download one of our funky email footers, and hyperlink to your everyday hero page so supporters can easily click through and make a donation to your team.
so go on, get QUACKING!
